Marketing PR Intern Needed

CouponsRSVP.com is a start up website that offers local businesses Free coupon advertising and consumers a great source to find local discounts. Our goal is to provide a win / win opportunity for business owners to promote their business through coupon advertising, for consumers to find local discounts and for a promoter to earn an ongoing part time income while developing business contacts and relationships in their community.

We are looking for Marketing / PR Interns that wants to develop name recognition in their local community, while generating a part time income. This is not a sales job as we offer free coupon advertising to local businesses and of course free coupons to consumers. Individuals with good knowledge of marketing, PR or sales would do well with this opportunity but we are open to others.

What this project would entail includes:

• Visiting local businesses and dropping off promotional material about how they can advertise their coupon discounts for free. No sales appointments or presentations are necessary. This is a fast mass blanketing of area businesses.
• Promoting the website to the consumer by visiting other businesses that may not add a coupon to the site, but would download the coupons for personal use. Examples would be banks, city hall, chambers of commerce, apartment complexes etc.
• Using social media and local forums like Facebook, Twitter and Digg to promote the website in your area. This is a critical ingredient to getting the word out fast and could be a joint project between the Marketing PR interns in adjacent areas.
• Coordinating with promoters in adjacent areas to promote the local website to the local media through press releases and media interviews.

A majority of this project could be completed in 6 to 8 weeks of full time promotions with a few hours a week to maintain it after that.

In exchange for your Marketing and PR efforts we promote you to your local community with your bio and ask businesses and consumers that benefit from the site to tip your PayPal account directly. We also encourage local businesses to compensate their local promoter with gift certificates from their business. In addition to the compensation you receive, this is a great way to make a good name for yourself in your community.

This is truly and independent contractor position. Any compensation received goes directly to your personal PayPal account and we don't monitor your earnings.

At this time we are looking for Marketing / PR Interns in the Greater Portland Oregon Area including Gresham, Vancouver, Salem, Beaverton and Portland. We are also seeking promoters in the Seattle Tacoma area. The Bay Area including San Jose, San Francisco and the East Bay will be our next market.
